New ‘Willow’ Trailer Drops at D23 Lucasfilm Presentation
The beloved 1988 epic fantasy film, “Willow,” makes its triumphant return to the screen this fall in a new series for Disney+. Today during the Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Studios showcase at the D23 Expo, fans received an exclusive first look at the new trailer for the original show.

The new series picks up 20 years after the plotline of the 1988 film and again stars Warwick Davis as Willow Ufgood. A host of new, younger stars also join the cast, including Ruby Cruz who plays Kit, the princess whose brother has been kidnapped to ignite the conflict of this new story.

“You think you know what is real and what isn’t. What is light, what is dark. Now, forget all you know. Come with me,” opens the trailer for the new series. The epic adventure will not only star Davis in his role reprisal but also Joanne Whalley who again joins the storyline as Sorsha.

“My dear friend, I thought I could prevent all of this. I was wrong,” Sorsha says in the incredible trailer, showcasing the exquisite art and intricate new plot of the show.
During the presentation today, Christian Slater’s unexpected role in the “Willow” series suprised panel guests. He joins an exceptional cast that already includes Cailee Spaeny, Tony Revolori, Ellie Bamber, and Erin Kellyman.

Absent today was Val Kilmer who originally played the beloved Madmartigan in George Lucas’ original “Willow” story. We do know his legacy lives on though as Kit (and her twin brother) are his children, a detail announced during the panel today according to report from Comicbook.com.
The first episode of “Willow” the series premieres on Disney+ on November 30th.
