Mourning and Celebrating the Life of Queen Elizabeth at Walt Disney World
As the world mourns the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, Walt Disney World is paying homage to her extraordinary life. At the Magic Kingdom today, flags remain lowered to half staff.
There’s something solemn about a lowered flag against the backdrop of Cinderella’s Castle, especially as we remember a real life Queen.
Flags were also flying at half mast at EPCOT in Walt Disney World this morning in memory of Queen Elizabeth.
A flag flying at half mast at Disney is always a reminder that even when in this Magical place, the real world still goes on.

Last night, TikTok user Disney Parks With Love posted this memorial guests created outside of the UK Pavilion in EPCOT.
This morning, the memorial had been removed and there was nothing out of the ordinary to mark the Queen’s passing.
The UK Pavilion was peaceful and quiet this morning, with the streets empty before the rush of the Food and Wine crowd.
We did pop into the Queen’s Table, one of our favorite shops in the World Showcase.
EPCOT guests can stop in if they want a little something to remember Queen Elizabeth.
This shop offers gorgeous bone china mugs and teacups. This one features hand drawn illustrations celebrating the Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
There are also several scarfs with all of her favorite things – of course her beloved Corgis are included!
The shop also offers several styles of Queen Elizabeth pajamas.
We especially love this aqua print with the corgis, crown jewels and crowns! Pajamas fit for a queen!
It is always strange to be at Walt Disney World for a monumental event like the death of Queen Elizabeth. But even at the most Magical place on Earth, we can mourn and celebrate together.
