Harrison Ford emotional at Indiana Jones 5 First Look
The first trailer for Indiana Jones 5 debuted at the D23 Expo on Saturday. Harrison Ford joined director James Mangold and costar Phoebe Waller-Bridge on stage to discuss the film.
An emotional Harrison Ford was grateful for the experiences during his time as Indiana Jones. Alluding to this being the last time he will play the role of Indiana Jones.
“Thank you for making these films such an incredible experience for all of us,” Ford said. “I’m very proud to say to say that this one is fantastic.”
“‘Indiana Jones’ movies are about fantasy and mystery, but they’re also about heart,” he continued. “We have a really great story to tell, as well as a movie that will kick your ass.”
In the trailer (only released behind closed doors) we see Indy, reflecting moments from his past as he walks down streets of a dessert city. We also see Mads Mikkelsen in a Nazi uniform and Indiana Jones on a horse riding through New York.
Indiana Jones 5 still does not have an official title, but has a scheduled release date of June 30th, 2023.
Earlier this year, we reported that John Williams composed the score for the fifth film in the Indiana Jones saga.
However, John Williams also announced his retirement saying that this film would be his last project.
