‘Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers’ Wins Emmy for Outstanding Television Movie
When the project was first announced there was a fair bit of skepticism from Disney and film fans alike.
What arrived on Disney+ in May of this year may have been the surprising film event of the year, and that is affirmed as Chip N’ Dale Rescue Rangers takes home the Emmy for outstanding television movie.

There are a plethora of classic and beloved characters that exist throughout the pantheon of Walt Disney creations.
Some of the most beloved animated creations that the film industry has ever seen line those halls, with every year adding to that seemingly endless list.

Film classics like Lion King, Aladdin, and Mulan are films that adorned generations of viewers for their creativity, ambition, and commitment to the exploration of imagination in the medium of animation.
Today we see one of that same studio’s most overlooked properties get their day.

Of all those classic stories of heroes and villains, it would take a while for us to get to the names Chip N’ Dale.
They’re a team of chipmunks who are better known as their crimefighting collective names the Rescue Rangers, which aired as an animated television series throughout the 1990s.

When it was announced that this very duo would be making the transition to feature film, there was a lot of skepticism.
What resulted was a brilliantly hilarious and immensely creative project that became one of the big surprises of the streaming release schedule for this year.
And that gamble has certainly paid off for Disney and the streaming network.
Many outlets including Variety have reported that Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers has officially taken home the Emmy for Outstanding Television Series. The live-action animation hybrid is now technically the first animated film to win the category.

The film stars comedy duo John Mulaney and Andy Samberg in the tremendous roles of Chip N’ Dale. One can only hope that the tremendous project could spawn a further exploration into this fascinating world that the two have created.
