Fall Celebrations Return to Disneyland Resort Today!
Fall season has officially begun in Disneyland!
Starting today and running through October 31st, Halloween Time is in full force. Disneyland Resort will feature characters in new seasonal outfits, delicious treats and eats, family-friendly experiences with transformed attractions, festive merchandise, and more!
Also, Plaza de la Familia is back at Disney California Adventure park through Nov. 2, celebrating the everlasting bonds of family with entertainment and experiences inspired by Día de los Muertos.

At Disneyland park, Haunted Mansion Holiday returns, with a frightfully festive transformation inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” The fan-favorite gingerbread house is back, and this year’s all-new original design features some mischievous cookies who have stolen their way into Sandy Claws’ festivities in the ballroom. If you’re ok with a spoiler, check out this TikTok that unveils this year’s theme! Otherwise, you’ll just have to go see (and smell) it for yourself!

Also new in Disneyland park, some of your favorite characters have tapped into their sewing skills and fashioned new playful “homemade” looks, all ready for trick-or-treating! These adorable outfits are just for the 2022 Halloween season, so have your cameras ready! Be on the lookout for Mickey Mouse as a jaunty jack-o-lantern, Minnie Mouse as a stylish witch, Goofy as a haunted apple tree, Donald Duck as a quirky candy corn and other new looks from Daisy Duck, Clarabelle, Chip and Dale and Pluto, as well!

Each night through Oct. 31, you may enjoy an eerily extraordinary experience in the form of “Halloween Screams,” a not-so-frightful projection and special effects show in Disneyland. On weekend nights, “Halloween Screams” takes to the skies to enhance the spirited illuminations with fireworks. You can view “Halloween Screams” from several different locations throughout the park, including Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and the façade of “it’s a small world.”

In Disney California Adventure park, enjoy family-friendly fun in Cars Land as Radiator Springs is transformed into Radiator Screams. Lightning McQueen, Mater, Cruz and Red will be greeting guests in their best “car-stumes.” Plus, two favorite attractions rev up the Halloween spirit with seasonal transformations of Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

On Buena Vista Street, the 10-foot-tall statue of the Headless Horseman awaits, while Disney characters don their vintage Halloween looks. Over in Avengers Campus, Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark brings the mayhem of creepy creatures and thrilling drops. The attraction transforms from Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! into this Halloween adventure in the late afternoons each day during the season.

And in Paradise Gardens at Disney California Adventure, the Disney and Pixar Academy Award®-winning film “Coco” comes to life at Plaza de la Familia, with an immersive celebration honoring the everlasting bonds of family. The festivities include live entertainment, specialty foods, crafts and interactive experiences. Not to be missed is the lively street show, “A Musical Celebration of Coco,” presented several times daily. The entertaining Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia share a heartwarming tale that celebrates popular songs including the Oscar®-winning Best Original Song, “Remember Me.”

Plus, you can enjoy Mariachi music at Paradise Gardens Bandstand, marvel at the iconic Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) photo location and memory wall, or even greet a hand-animated figure of Miguel!
These are just some of the many fun fall offerings you’ll get to enjoy this season throughout the Disneyland Resort. There are additional experiences too, such as the pumpkin hunt, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, returning to the Downtown Disney District beginning Sept. 9!
