REVIEW: Plant-Based Burger at Roaring Fork
Roaring Fork is Wilderness Lodge’s go-to quick service location. If you want a hearty meal for breakfast lunch or dinner, Roaring Fork has been the age old staple for providing good-quality quick serve meals at a very low wait. We recently tried the Zesty Slaw Burger on a Brioche Bun (aka the plant-based offering), and we are ready to share our thoughts!

The mobile order process was very easy on the evening we visited. I was able to secure a time slot easily and had to wait no more than 15 minutes for our freshly prepared burger. When I picked up my burger, I was pretty surprised at how big it was!
The softball-sized package took up the majority of my hand! My burger was definitely made to order, as the patty was very hot when I unwrapped it. There was a generous portion of slaw, with tomato and arugula serving as additional garnishes.
Although the menu did not specity, this was definitely a Beyond/Impossible style patty, meaning that it was not a ‘veggie burger’, but had that real meat texture and flavor. The slaw was lightly tossed in what tasted like a lemon-y dressing, giving the whole thing a crunchy freshness that was further enhanced by the fresh arugula.
The burger is served with your choice of house-made chips or fries…so of course I had to get both to properly review the meal! I always love Disney house-made chips, and these were no exception. Crunchy, salty, and never greasy, the chips are always a win.
Disney’s skinny fries aren’t usually the best, but these babies were piping hot and freshly salted, and I couldn’t resist dunking multiple fries at a time into my ketchup!
Overall the burger was surprisingly a very good one for a quick serve. My whole meal was hot, and the thicker burger patty made it feel like I was really getting the best bang for my buck here. I would definitely get the Zesty Slaw Burger again…but would you? Leave a comment and let us know!
