The Dinner Buffet is Back for Minnie’s Seasonal Dine and We’ve Got a First Look
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that we’ve been spending the day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios where we kicked things off with breakfast at Hollywood & Vine which has, as of today, returned to buffet. The same goes for dinner so we’re back to give you a first look at the Buffet at Minnie’s Halloween Dine!
For those unfamiliar, the lunch/dinner service at Hollywood & Vine features Minnie and friends and they switch up their outfits seasonally.
Right now as you can see from the signage, we’re in the midst of the Halloween Dine which means we should be seeing our favorite Disney friends dress up in their favorite costumes!
It was a quiet day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios which meant that we didn’t have too much of a wait!
The signage has been updated to reflect the buffet switchover.
As you can see, Minnie’s Seasonal Dine is open beginning at 11:30 am and through dinner.
The cost is $36.00 per child ages 3-9 and $55 per adult.
This dining experience is wildly popular so we always recommend booking in advance as soon as dining opens up at the 60 day mark!
Inside there’s a fun backdrop that makes for the perfect Halloween photo.
The décor has been updated since breakfast in keeping with the Halloween theme.
In lieu of autograph signing, guests are also given a postcard with the signatures of the Disney friends you’ll meet.
It even has special Halloween artwork on the front!
We think it makes the perfect memento!
Before we even had time to hit the buffet, Minnie came over to say hello!
We think you’ll agree that she’s looking positively be-witching!
Here she is showing off the orange polka dots on her skirt!
And check out those green stockings!
Now it’s time for the incredible food!
Let’s start with the brad service where you’ll find rolls, mini pita bread and focaccia!
There’s a nice salad selection.
Here you can see a variety of lettuce and salad toppings including onions, tomatoes, cheese, olives and dressing.
As you can see, during our dining window, the restaurant wasn’t too busy. But, 4:40pm is still considered an early dinner!
Just like breakfast, there is a nice selection to make your own fruit salad.
There’s also a variety of cold salads from cous cous to kale.
Hot dishes include mashed potatoes and seared salmon.
The mashed potatoes are made with sour cream and chives – YUM!
Below is a closer look at the salmon.
Here’s a glimpse of some of the incredible sides
This includes our favorite – seafood mac and cheese!
The Beef was absolutely amazing!
There was rice to go along with the beef stew.
The pork was in a delectable sweet and sour sauce!
Below is also a look at the mushroom risotto!
Along with the white rice there was creamy polenta and roasted pork in a spicy mustard sauce.
Next up is the Polenta.
Slow-roasted Crispy Pork was also on offer with a guava glaze!
Before we knew it our plates were piled high with goodies!
Parents visiting with younger kids should know that there’s always a special area filled with foods that your tiny tots are sure to love.
You’ll find pasta, chicken nuggets, pizza and other popular treats that are guaranteed to please!
There’s also a dedicated dessert bar where you can stock up o n sweet treats!
Popular items where this cookies and cream dessert.
And of course, the R2-D2 cupcakes!
It’s always important to leave room for dessert as you’ll definitely want to go back more than once!
While we enjoyed our dessert, we were surprised with a visit from Goofy!
He was dressed up like a cowboy with a spooky twist.
He was eager to pose for the cameras and show off those skeleton gloves!
No sooner had we said our good-byes to Goofy then Pluto showed up.
Here he is having a chuckle!
Its hard to see form these images but Pluto was wearing a spooky dog collar that looked like a vampire’s cape!
However, it would be pretty hard to find this fella spooky!
It was nice to see Mickey’s pup up to his old shenanigans!
He gave us a quick wave and then he was off!
Just as we finished our meal, we got to have a magical moment with Mickey.
Mickey was sporting a multi-colored vampire costume.
We think you’ll agree that he was looking very dapper!
His outfit includes a waistcoat, spider-web inspired cape and some glowing green shoes!
All in all, our Halloween Dine experience was a success!
It definitely put us in the mood for the spooky season!
