New “Bugs And Grubs” Cupcake Creepy-Crawls in to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
There’s a delicious new treat on the menu over at Flame Tree Barbecue at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But, it’s not necessarily the grilled-up goodness you’d expect.
In fact, it’s more of a “slimy yet satisfying” kind of concoction, and we can’t wait to try it out!
If you’re over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and are in the mood for something sweet, Flame Tree Barbecue is a fantastic place to find fun, extravagant cupcakes.
This rather-fabulous flamingo creation was a particular favorite of mine, but other unique, character-inspired treats can also be found popping up on the menu every now and again.
The newest sweet treat on the menu is this one: the Bugs and Grubs Cupcake. Not the most appealing of names, I agree, but the flavors we’re promised in this cake sure do sound enticing!
Let’s dive in…
Thankfully, the Bugs and Grubs Cupcake isn’t made from all things creepy-crawly.
There is, in fact, cake under all that frosting, and it’s a delicious chocolate cake at that!
The chocolate cupcake is filled with a cookies ‘n’ cream cheesecake center, with a sweet mound of green chocolate buttercream on top.
Sprinkled amidst the piped frosting are matcha cake crumbs, to resemble dirt, and a creepy menagerie of gummy worms and chocolate lady bugs crawling on top. Yum!
As long as you’re not too squeamish over the bugs, this delightful, chocolatey treat sure makes for a tasty snack at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
