Enchanted Rose, Belle Celebrated in Sweet Treat
World Princess Week festivities began at Walt Disney World Resort this week with special treats and celebrations planned from now until the 27th. Though a few new sweets did arrive at the parks, many favorites from last year’s menus also returned, including one dedicated to the book-loving Princess Belle.
On a visit to Sunset Ranch Market today, MickeyBlogger Jared picked up one of the prettiest dessert options served exclusively this week: Enchanted Rose.
The dessert delights with one of the more decadent fillings on property that mixes Morello cherries with black currants and dark choclate into an exquisite mousse. A fluff of cookies n’ cream sits dotted to the side of the flower, giving the dessert a much-needed bit of lightness.
The beatiful rose-shaped delicacy adds a touch of royal regalness with the golden-dusted cocoa nibs that sit in its center. To give the dessert a bit of a crunch, the entire rose sits on a flower-shaped, buttery shortbread cookie.
Not only does the sweet snack celebrate the strong and curious princess, Guests can also easily wander across Sunset Boulevard to enjoy a performance of “Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage,” an elaborate, Broadway-style show that tells the story of Belle and her unlikely romance.
The Enchanted Rose treat can be found over the next few days in honor of World Princess Week at Catalina Eddie’s, a quick-service dining location in Hollywood Studios. Catalina Eddie’s primarily offers pizza as well as a few refreshing beverages.
