The Wakandan Cookbook is Now Available at Zuri’s Sweets Shop!
In the Marvel universe, the fictional nation of Wakanda is filled with a thriving culture that merges technology with traditional African culture! Now fans can taste the flavors of Wakanda with the Wakandan Cookbook available at Zuri’s Sweets Shop!
Wakanda is the home of Marvel superhero Black Panther who hails as the king of Wakanda protecting threats both within and around the globe. The most scientifically advanced nation in the Marvel world, due to a Vibranium meteorite, Wakanda has served at the forefront of the Marvel world’s affairs.
The Wakanda Cookbook gives traditional African recipes a unique flair, celebrate the recipes from the continent of Africa as you taste the flavors of Wakanda. Written by Malawian chef Nyanyika Banda, the book explores over 70+ recipes for all ages and for chefs of all skill levels!
The cookbook promises that one will eat like King T’challa himself! Meals include traditional recipes such as braised oxtail, roasted chambo, and special glazed wings that are all a tribute to the cuisine of the continent of Africa!
The book begins with a wonderful foreword written by Jesse J. Holland that speaks on the importance of Black Panther within the world of comics, as a character of royal nobility, stalwart nature, and impeccable character. Holland speaks on how Black Panther shows us the importance of representation.
Holland goes on to talk about the importance that cooking has in African culture, and the ability of the cookbook to bridge the gap between modern cooking and the African roots of the cuisine.
One of the recipes listed was Peyala Mousse a delectable dip featuring avocado. The cookbook is unique in that it features the recipe for the dish and then details parts of Wakanda and the food is gathered and crafted in Wakanda.
This wonderful Wakanda Cookbook is currently available at Zuri’s sweets shop at Africa in Disney’s animal kingdom! The next journey in the saga of the Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, will be arriving on November 1th of this year and will see Wakanda deal with the death of their King T’Challa.
