U.S. Naval aviator, Disney Cast Member, and friend to all. Disney Remembers Hero and Cast Member, Alex Stromski, as a gentleman who went above and beyond and impacted his Disney Family.

Alex served in the U.S. Navy near the end of World War II and attended flight school with future NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong. He also served in Korea and Vietnam before retiring as a lieutenant commander in 1967.
Alex happily retired but decided he loved Disney so much he wanted a full time role with the Walt Disney Resort. He commuted 170-miles round-trip for his role as a cast member at Pinocchio Village Haus.

Alex’s cheerful disposition and positive energy made him a social media star and fan fave amongst guests and Cast Members.
He was honored with a 2021 flag-raising ceremony at Town Square for his service to both the country and The Walt Disney Company.

In summer 2022, Alex had informed Disney that he was ill and would soon be going into hospice. But Disney had one last surprise for this dedicated Cast Member.
Alex was nominated and selected for the prestigious, The Walt Disney Legacy Award. In his home, Disney honored him with the blue Legacy nametag. Alex was the first cast member to receive it in 2022.

Alex had one last wish that Disney helped make come true. He wanted to visit Pinocchio Village Haus and visit with his team and comfort them. He asked the team to simply, “Remember me.”
Alex passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Aug. 6, 2022.
