BoardWalk Deli Celebrates it’s Grand Opening With a Morning Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Tasty Treats!
Good morning from Disney’s BoardWalk!
It may be early in the day, but there’s a lot of excitement going on over here already. Can you guess why?
It’s the grand opening of the BoardWalk Deli! The refurbishment of what was the BoardWalk Bakery is now complete, and we couldn’t be more excited to sample some tasty deli treats.
As you can see from this screenshot of the My Disney Experience app, the hottest new quick service in the Epcot resort area opened this morning at 7am. So, let’s get on down there and see what’s going on!
As MickeyBloggers approached the deli, we were greeted by a group of Cast Members taking part in a formal opening ceremony.
Chefs, serving staff, and executives were all assembled in celebration, looking proud and happy to be finally opening this highly-anticipated new dining location to guests.
Like all good openings, this ceremony included a red ribbon and a giant pair of scissors… watch the moment the ribbon cutting happened in our video below!
Now that the ribbon is cut and everyone’s ready for some breakfast, let’s head on in to the charming deli and see what’s on offer!
In the lead up to the deli’s opening, Disney had teased us with a menu of delicious details on what we could expect from this quaint new store. We have been so excited to finally be able to check it out, and enjoy the fresh refit and tasty menu offerings!
Well, it looks like the BoardWalk Deli are ready for business, with a fully-stocked counter, enticing menu, and plenty of smiles to go round!
Plenty of guests were already waiting to enter and enjoy a morning bite to eat. We can see from the over-counter menus that there is plenty on offer, so nobody will be going home hungry today!
On the breakfast menu, there’s a good range of enticing hot bagel and ciabatta sandwiches. With everything from eggs and sausage to smoked salmon available to choose from, you know this is going to be a good start to your Monday morning!
The drinks menu shows us a range of cold drinks, as well as Joffrey’s coffees, Twinings teas, alcoholic sips, and more.
BoardWalk Deli is also the place for guests staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn to purchase their souvenir resort mugs – refillable with an array of countless fountain drinks and more for the entire duration of their resort stay.
The last menu board shows a couple of basic sandwich options for kids, as well as the exciting advertisement of the range of cookies and pastries on offer!
As you can see from the images, a queue had already formed in the deli.
This may be a quaint space compared to some other quick-service locations at the resort, but BoardWalk Deli is bright, light, and friendly enough that the limited space doesn’t matter.
As we get closer to the counter, we can see that a range of pre-made menu items are on display.
This is a handy feature for those guests who like to see the dishes available before they order, as well as being enticing enough for us to want to order all of them!
Here we have the Veggie Crunch Muffuletta.
“Muffuletta” may be my new favorite word, and this sandwich sure does look appealing!
This is a shot of the BoardWalk Deli’s classic – a Warm Pastrami Reuben.
You can’t go wrong with a House-Made Deli Pickle on the side!
There’s a stuffed Italian Sub…
…and a fresh-looking Chicken Salad Wrap!
To finish the counter display, a range of sausages and cheeses are also piled up – this is a classic deli, after all!
At the side of the deli, a Mobile Order pickup area is available, as well as the mug wash zone for those refillable mugs I mentioned earlier!
It’s getting rather busy in here, and we’re hungry to start our breakfast, so let’s head on outside to enjoy the morning views over the BoardWalk!
Our breakfast came packaged in a brown bag, secured with a fun “Disney’s BoardWalk” sticker.
We ordered the Bagel Breakfast Sandwich, which consists of a classic egg and bacon combo, complimented by cheddar and caramelized onion. A lovely treat to start our Monday!
We look forward to coming back to enjoy more treats at the BoardWalk Deli, and are so glad to see the spot open for guests to enjoy.
Will you be stopping by on your next visit for a deli sandwich, hot coffee or delicious pastry?
