Sleepy Hollow Photo Opportunity in Tomorrowland
There is some extra Halloween magic for Guests right in front of Tomorrowland Terrace in the Magic Kingdom. Cast Members set up an awesome Sleepy Hollow photo opportunity for some spooky fun! Indeed, this photo op is all about “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”
The Backdrop
This is a great backdrop just for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The color scheme, as a whole, is very spooky with grays, blues, and blacks. It puts you right in the middle of Sleepy Hollow.
As experienced photographers know, every great picture has a leading line. In this photo op, the leading line is the road. Do you see what the line leads to in this backdrop?
Watch out, it’s the Headless Horseman! The Headless Horseman aggressively rides on his bold, black stallion. Also, he threw his fireball, jack-o-lantern head right at you! He’s not happy that you’re in his neck of the woods.
The Border
The backdrop’s border also has some other important components. Let’s start at the top! The upper, left-hand corner contains a red text box. Inside, the text reads, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow: Beware, Take Care, He rides alone!”
So, the sign tries to warn Guests as the Headless Horseman’s flaming jack-o-lantern flies past them in the upper, right-hand corner. However, it seems that Walt Disney World Guests are not concerned.
In addition, the lower left-hand corner houses a spooky tree stump, along with the number 50 to mark The World’s Most Magical Celebration. Then, there are a couple of tombstones in the lower, right-hand corner. One reads “R.I.P.” and the other says, “W. Irving 1783-1859,” who is the author of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”
