Disney World Retail Shops Drop ‘Limit 2 Items’ Per Person Rule
Our MickeyBlogger is at the Emporium on Main Street USA today and got an interesting bit of intel regarding the 2 Item, Per Guest limited enforced at many theme park shops.
Ever since Disney World first launched its 50th Anniversary merchandise collection last year, the theme park shops have been enforcing a rule that guests can only buy 2 of the same item per person, per guest.
As we here at MickeyBlog reported at the time, the new policy was implemented as a preventative measure to stop Disney resellers from buying out items only to then sell them online at incredibly inflated prices.
However, according to cast members that we spoke to, this policy is officially a thing of the past.
We were told that guests can now buy up to 10 of the same item at a time!
This could potentially mean the return of resellers just in time for Disney’s big Halloween merchandise drops which will officially kick off this week.
According to Disney, the only exception to the 10 items per person rule will be MagicBand+ which will be maintaining the 2 item per person limit as well as special edition items.
This is a story that we will continue to follow closely. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further news and updates. We’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the theme parks each and every week.
