Don’t Skip Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Located in Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom is Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, a family-friendly, competitive shooting game.
Help Buzz to defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg using your blaster and hitting targets to rack up points. Buckle up, Space Rangers! It’s time to separate the Star Cadets from the Galactic Heroes.
The Queue
The queue experience at Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is brightly colored and feels very much like the toy vibe from the Toy Story Movies.
However, It should be noted that the queue area inside is unnecessarily loud with sirens and preparing new Space Cadets for battle.
Because this is an omnimover attraction, the line does move very quickly! The line during the day is an average of 35 minutes, and when you are constantly moving the time flies!
There are a lot of things to look at and give your attention to in the line as well, so the line doesn’t feel long.

Even if you have Genie+ purchased for the day, we say that you don’t need a Lightning Lane for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.
Instead, book a Lightning Lane for a ride with a longer line, like the nearby Space Mountain, and wait in the standby line for Buzz Lightyear while you are waiting for your Lightning Lane.

The Ride
As odd as it sounds, the ride is significantly quieter than the queue line.
This attraction is a family-friendly attraction, meaning that there is no height requirement and even pregnant women and infants can ride.

Once on, you will use your laser blaster to shoot the Zurg “Z”s to rack up points. Compete with the other person in the car for a fun bet. Loser buys a root beer float at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic goodies!
Some targets are worth more than others. Here’s a tip: moving targets are worth the most! Max out the game with 999,999 points and earn the title of Galactic Hero.

Free Souvenir!
There’s not too many free souvenirs in Walt Disney World, but there’s a coveted sticker available at the end of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin! You can’t buy it, you have to earn it.
If you max out the game and earn Galactic Hero status you tell the Cast Member working in the souvenir shop at the end of the ride and you get the prized sticker.
*Cue celebration music*
