Handy New Travel Advisory Signage Added to World of Disney
While enjoying an afternoon shop around World of Disney at Disney Springs this afternoon, MickeyBloggers noticed that some bold, new signage had been installed for guests’ attention.
Now, we understand that in this post-pandemic world, the words “Travel Advisory” spelled out in bold lettering might cause some alarm!
However, we’re pleased to say that these signs aren’t alerting us to any new precautionary actions, but instead providing some handy guidance that out-of-town guests will certainly benefit from knowing.
As we know, many guests visiting Walt Disney World will travel via plane, be it from out of state or overseas. With air travel comes strict health and safety policies, and that’s what this new advisory signage relates to.
Specifically, the signage serves to remind guests of the strict rules regarding carrying liquids aboard flights.
As the sign says, “the Department of Homeland Security has a liquids rule in place for air travel that limits the amount and size of liquids that may pass through the screen checkpoint and are allowed in the cabin of the aircraft,” therefore guests are encouraged to inquire with Cast Members if they have concerns about any merchandise items they are wanting to take home from their trip.
With so much magical merchandise available in stores like World of Disney, it’s often easy to push the thought of returning home from vacation to the back of your mind.
Yes, you may remember to empty your water bottle and leave behind toiletries when packing your cabin baggage, but it’s easy to forget that souvenir items such as fragrances, alcohol, and even things such as snow globes would also be privy to the liquids rule.
So, we’re very impressed and grateful for this handy new signage, which we’re sure will help guests out whilst they’re browsing the wares at World of Disney.
So far, it is only at Disney Springs that we have spotted these signs. We’ll keep an eye out for similar notices being installed around other stores across Walt Disney World, so be sure to stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com for all the latest updates!
