Did We Just Find Out That Moon Knight Season 2 Is On Its Way?
We could potentially have some news about another season of a popular Marvel, Disney+ series that could be in the works. Those following along with Moon Knight you’ll know that the end of the premiere season left further seasons a distinct possibility. However, Disney has yet to confirm a second season. The fact that the streaming network didn’t do so during San Diego Comic-Con made fans nervous that Disney had put the brakes on the project.
However, according to a recent TikTok post, it looks like filming for the series might already be underway. Although nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, Isaac appeared on a TikTok video from Mohammed Diab which implies that a second season is on its way. In the video you can see the two men pondering whether more Moon Knight is on its way before Isaac playfully says “Why else would we be in Cairo!?”

This is positive news. As Collider points out, a second season was in doubt after Variety posting an article saying that Isaac was not under long term contract with Marvel meaning a new deal would need to be negotiated when it came to the actors involvement in the project. In addition, Collider argues that the series never received the same attention as other Marvel/Disney+ projects including WandaVision and Loki. While Kevin Feige looks ahead to phases 5 and 6 in the Marvel timeline, it was difficult to determine where Moon Knight might fit in.

For those unfamiliar, Moon Knight aired on Disney+ this Spring. The series followed Marc Spector/Stephen Grant, to alter egos tied into an epic mystery involving gods of Egypt. In addition to Isaac, the series also stars May Calamawy as Layla El-Faouly (the Scarlet Scarab.)
It should be noted that the series was very well received earning a 91% audience score with critics praising Isaacs ability to capture and convey the differences between the two alter egos (Marc and Stephen.)
We’ll continue to look for official confirmation from Disney that officially Season 2 is on its way. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for more Marvel and Disney+ news and updates.
