Walt Disney World Wait Times for Last Week of July 2022
Okay, July is done and we’ve reached the start of August! The most crowded theme park month on the calendar has ended.
Soon, crowds will diminish as schools reopen. In fact, one local school in my area has already started its new year. Those poor kids….and their teachers!
Anyway, wait times should diminish over the new few weeks. Has that already happened?
Let’s find out in this week’s Walt Disney World wait times update!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Okay, we’ll know a lot thanks to the Avatar Flight of Passage intel.
This past week, the pride of Pandora – The World of Avatar came with an average wait of 109 minutes, a substantial decrease of 12 minutes.

Conversely, Na’vi River Journey averaged 71 minutes of line, an increase of five minutes.
So, I think the park was less crowded, but we must look at the other data to know. Here’s that information:
- Kali River Rapids – 59 minutes, down 8
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 55 minutes, up 7
- Adventurers Outpost – 46 minutes, down 4
- DINOSAUR – 44 minutes, down 1
- Expedition Everest – 40 minutes, down 2
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug! – 12 minutes, no change
- TriceraTop Spin – 10 minutes, no change

Overall, Animal Kingdom attractions averaged a 48-minute wait, a drop of two minutes from last time.
Ergo, the crowds dropped slightly here…but not by a lot. So, is that the overall trend at Walt Disney World? We’ll have a good idea after we discuss…
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance continues to dominate the public’s attention at this park.
For the past week, the Star Wars ride averaged a wait of 124 minutes, which is a significant drop of 13 minutes.

The park still hosts seven attractions whose average waits are 60+ minutes. In another month, that number could drop to three. That’s the hope anyway.
EPCOT
During this summer vacation season, three rides have dominated crowd attention, not counting Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which we’re still not tracking.

EPCOT’s current Big Three includes Frozen Ever After, Test Track, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
For the past week, Frozen Ever After has averaged the longest wait of 75 minutes, down five minutes.

Next up is Test Track, which was right before Frozen at 74 minutes. Test Track had a drop of one minute from last week.
The Ratatouille ride is starting to fall back a bit compared to the others. It averaged a 68-minute wait.
The ride has lagged behind the others throughout July and was down another three minutes this week. It’s heading for a sub-60-minute wait soon!
That’s great news for you, though! Just four months ago, guests were happily paying $15 to ride Ratatouille, which didn’t even offer a standby line queue!
