Find Out More About Disney Wish’s Marvel Super Hero Academy
Over the past few months, we’ve explored many of the awesome elements, amenities and experiences guests can have aboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship the Disney Wish. One area we wanted to double back to is the incredible Marvel-themed activities available for kids.
Marvel Super Hero Academy is available on the Disney Wish as a part of the larger Disney’s Oceaneer Club located on deck 2. You’ll find it midship just below the Grand Hall.
At the Marvel Super Hero Academy, young guests will get the chance to train alongside the Avengers to help them save the day. After all, you never know who is lurking around the corner even at sea! But it’s not all about winning but rather what skills you can learn and the importance of becoming a super hero both inside and out.
A representative from Disney Cruise Line said, “It’s not about fisticuffs and punching, it’s about the qualities of being a hero, and that goes all the way back to Stan Lee. It’s the human aspects of these characters. It’s not about their powers. It’s who they are on the inside.”
One of the key Marvel Super Hero Academy activities is “Avengers: Mission Training.” Here young recruits have a chance to design their own hero suit and then put it to the test in a battle against Ultron in a gesture-based game.
Other must-have experiences includes:
- Power Pym Particles — after Ant-Man’s regulator gets stuck, he needs help becoming big again. Recruits will need to build Ant-Man a new regulator to save the day.
- Challenge the Taskmaster — after Taskmaster takes control of the Super Hero Academy, Black Panther and the Wakanda Design Group need help to stop her before it’s too late. Then stick around to learn about the history of Wakanda straight from Black Panther.
If you have an older child cruising with you that feels left out don’t worry. During open houses on the Disney Wish, guests of all ages can visit the Marvel Super Hero Academy and see all the action that goes on inside.
Fans can experience Marvel Super Hero Academy aboard the Disney Wish, which sets sail out of Port Canaveral on 3, 4 and 5-day cruises to the Bahamas. Choose from three and four-night adventures to the Bahamas along with Castaway Cay, Disney’s own private island.
