The Red Car Trolley is Back at Disney California Adventure
All aboard! It’s been a while since Disneyland Resort guests have heard the beloved belles and whistles of the Red Car Trolley. But, that all came to an end on July 17th, when this vintage vehicle made a return to the theme park!
The trolley is a wonderful bit of Disney history. It was modeled after the 2,700 Pacific Electric Railway Trolleys that covered over 1,000 miles of track in the Los Angeles area from 1887 until 1961. It’s perfectly at home at Disney California Adventure which celebrates old Hollywood glamor. This is the sort of trolley that Walt would’ve seen when he arrived in Southern California back in 1923.
Guests of all ages can once again climb onboard the trolley for a nostalgic ride on Buena Vista Street and through Hollywood Land. You’ll be able to take in views of Carthay Circle Restaurant, Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard and more. Best of all, Disney Cast Members will be on hand to regale you with stories of the man who came to Los Angeles with an idea and big dreams!
In order to bring the Red Car Trolley back to Disney California Adventure, teams worked together to prepare the attraction including training cast and perfecting the script.
We can’t wait to climb on board once again and here the bell ring as we visit the Hollywood of days-gone-by!
