First, it goes without saying that no visit to a Disney park is complete without enjoying a famous DOLE Whip. Best of all, you’ll find variations on this popular theme park treat and several Disney parks and resorts. In case you missed it, here’s our Dole Whip Day Foodie Guide. Dole Whips have been an iconic addition to the parks for over 20 years (they were first introduced in 1984.)
The first place to start serving up this taste of the tropics was was Aloha Isle at Adventureland which has been serving up the popular treat ever since.
Today, guests can find Dole Whip at Disney destinations across the globe from Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii to Disney Cruise Line. But, for those that can make it to the theme parks on DOLE Whip day, you can celebrate from the comforts of your own home.
Let’s start with a DOLE Whip-Inspired treat:
Frozen Pineapple Treat Inspired by DOLE Whip® Walt Disney Parks and Resorts
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2-3/4 cup pineapple juice, divided
- 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 cup dairy-free vanilla ice cream
DIRECTIONS:
- Place 1/2 cup pineapple juice, frozen pineapple, and dairy-free vanilla ice cream in blender and blend until smooth – do not over blend. If the mixture is too thick to blend, add 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice at a time.
