The Creations Figment Statue is Dressed for the Festival Today at Epcot!
Happy festival day!
Today marks the very start of the 2022 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, and MickeyBloggers are in the park enjoying everything there is to sip and savor during this fun-filled fest!
One particularly fun detail we noticed was that a certain statue has undergone an outfit change in readiness for the festival. Can you guess who it is?
It’s Figment, of course!
If you were following along with MickeyBlog earlier this year, during the start of the 2022 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, you may remember us sharing that this cute Figment statue had been erected inside the Creations Shop.
Back then, he was fabulously clad in an outfit of gardener-friendly attire, including a sweet straw hat, dungarees, and clutching a posy of flowers.
Now, Figment is sporting his full chef’s whites, including a fantastic hat, apron with oversized buttons, and a stylish mustard-colored scarf to bring the outfit together. Very fitting for this season’s festival indeed, don’t you think?
But, the thing about this Figment statue that is particularly awesome and noteworthy is that he is from the original Epcot attraction! That’s right, this very Figment resided in the original Journey Into Imagination attraction, which opened back in the early 1980s at Epcot.
Knowing that this Figment is such a significant part of the park’s history makes it even more loveable and interesting – so make sure you take a moment to admire him the next time you’re shopping at Creations!
Tip: he’s located at the rear entrance to the store. Look towards the back, and there he’ll be!
As with all festivals, Figment is a popular mascot during the 2022 Epcot International Festival of the Arts. So, we can expect to see him popping up all over the park for the festival’s duration!
