First Look: Brazil Returns to Food & Wine Festival
The Brazil booth returns to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival again this year with a slightly smaller menu, including a favorite offering!
The main Brazil offering is the Feijoda. Black beans with crispy pork belly and brazil nut pesto over long grain white rice. This is a little departure from the crispy pork belly offered last year, which had a tomato and onion topping over mashed beans. This year’s tapas-sized offering costs $6.25.
Returning to the festival is a fan-favorite Pão de Queijo, or Brazilian Cheese Bread. And bonus: It’s gluten-friendly! But beware, these things are always addicting! They are puffy and airy but also have a gooey cheese quality. Absolutely delicious, especially if you have a drizzly dreary morning at the park. This comfort food will run you $4.75.
In the beverage department, the Frozen Caipirinha, the national cocktail of Brazil! “Caipirinha” refers to something from the countryside. The drink usually highlights fruits mixed with a sugar and liquor, usually Cachaça. This cocktail was around the Brazil booth years ago and now it’s back! Reviews say it is a refreshing frozen-lemonade style concoction. Adults can partake in this beverage for $11.00.
Last but not least, the Xingu Braxilian Black Lager, available in 6 or 12 ounce versions. This is a darker, heavier beer, not quite as light and refreshing as the frozen cocktail, but we’re sure it hits the spot on a hot summer day!
You’ll find the Brazil booth near France in the World Showcase!
