BREAKING NEWS: Iconic Tower of Terror Sign Taken Down on World Drive
It is the end of an era Disney friends! The iconic Tower of Terror sign that has been on World Drive since I can remember has been torn down this week.
The sign served as a beacon for those visiting Walt Disney World theme park.
It featured a replic version of the Tower of Terror.
Guests could be seen plummeting down an elevator shaft.
It also featured the Tower of Terror and Hollywood Studios logo.
Disney World regulars were surprised this week when a bulldozer was brought in to remove the sign.
This week, the beloved sign was quickly demolished.
You could still see elements of the tower structure amongst the wreckage.
A dumpster was brought in to remove pieces of the sign.
During our visit, to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival today, it was odd noticing that the sign was no longer there.
Traffic cones surround the former location of the sign.
But other than that, there’s little trace to indicate that the sign was ever there.
Disney hasn’t said anything official about the removal.
We also don’t know yet if any additional signage will be put up in its place.

In the meantime, you’ll definitely want to hang on to any pictures you might have taken of the original Tower of Terror sign over the years.
