Summer Culinary Delights Arrive at Disneyland Resort
If you’re lucky enough to be visiting Disneyland Resort this Summer, you’d better bring your appetites. Disneyland has just unveiled an incredible array of eats and treats and you’ll definitely want to try.
Let’s dive in!
Disneyland is celebrating its 67th Anniversary and they’ve created some awesome desserts to indulge your sweet tooth. Now through July 17th, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you’ll find a new Mickey-shaped Chocolate Donut at GCH Craftsman Grill. Also being served up at this quick service spot is the Disneyland Birthday Cupcake which features a vanilla cake base and festive sprinkles and frosting.
At the GCH Holiday Cart located in the lobby of the Grand Californian you’ll find the Birthday Cookie Box filled with assorted cookies. Also on the menu is the Mickey Sugar Cookie and Birthday Cake S’mores Cookie (which comes complete with marshmallow filling!)
There’s also the Mickey-shaped Whoopie Pie with buttercream filling. A fun alternative is the Birthday Cake Layered Cake Pop which features layers of confetti cake with colorful buttercream filling. The Holiday Cart is also offering a Birthday Waffle Shot which you can enjoy with a variety of milks (or even alcohol for those over 21.)
In the mode for something savory? For a limited time starting July 17th, the anniversary of Disneyland Resort, the Red Rose Taverne at Disneyland theme park will be serving up Walt’s Chili Cheese Fries. This delicious dish features seasoned fries topped with Walt’s signature chili, cheddar cheese and green onion.
There are even a few noteworthy trats that come with souvenir novelties. Let’s start with the Birthday Mickey Ear Hat Bowl. You can pick up this cutie at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor.
Over at Award Wieners at Disney California Adventure you’ll find Peaches and Cream Funnel Cake Fries. The are also served in the Mickey Ear Hat.
Marvel fans can also celebrate Thor: Love and Thunder with a unique sipper fashioned after Thor’s famous hammer. The item opens up to hold a contour bottle or cup and comes with your choice of Coca-Cola bottled beverage. You can pick up this item at Shawarma Palace, Shawarma Palace Too and the Outdoor Cart near the entrance to the Avengers Campus.
From July 18 – 20th, Galaxy’s Edge will be celebrating Oga’s birthday over at Oga’s Cantina! To honor her, you can treat your taste buds to awesome goodies like the Blue Citrus Mole which is made up of citrus vodka, blue curacao, pure cane syrup, mule mix and club soda garnished with a lime wheel and candied ginger.
While at Oga’s Cantina, you can also pick up the Mygeeto Roll. This dish is made up of tuna poke, zhu cucumber, green onion, enoki, eel sauce, fried garlic, vermicelli and sea bean rolled in rice paper and garnished with ponzu foam.
While at Galaxy’s Edge we also recommend you stop by Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo where you can order up the tasty Blue Milk Chia Pudding. This treat is made with coconut milk and a chia sea blend, fresh berries, pepitas and shredded coconut.
Those looking for something both sweet and savory then head over to Jet Kaa’s Coolers for the Peka Wheat Gear Puffs. These crispy wheat puffs come in a savory and spicy seasoning blend!
Moving over to the Downtown Disney District, make your first stop either Salt & Straw or Sprinkles. Salt & Straw is introducing a Berry Series with fresh fruits with marion berry, blackberry, wild berry, boysenberry and raspberry.
Over at Sprinkles you can pick up the Circus Animal cupcake from July 11 through July 24th. This cupcake has a birthday cake base with a pink sugar cookie crust topped with strawberry buttercream frosting and finished with rainbow nonpareils and an animal cookie.
From July 25 – August 7, Sprinkles will be serving up a cookie cupcake which is a chocolate chip studded yellow cake lined with a cookie crust and topped with brown sugar frosting and dusted with cookie crumbles.
