Launch Bay Reopens with Out-of-this-World Meet & Greets
Characters are popping up everywhere throughout Walt Disney World this week and today Launch Bay reopens with out-of-this-world meet and greets. We originally reported that Launch Bay would open on July 17th, 2022, but we’re pleasantly surprised to see it’s open early!
MickeyBloggers at Disney World stopped by the launch bay today to say high to our favorite Sith Lord, Darth Vader. We also were able to meet up with the best co-pilot any smuggler could ask for, Chewbacca!
Today’s Monday, July 11, 2022 and the meet and greet wait times were minimal when we arrived. Launch Bay is located in Hollywood Studios along with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Before you head over to traverse the stars, maybe stop in to see some of your favorites from the movies and shows. The rain might have scared some folks away from the theme parks.
As we head into Launch Bay, the dark interior greets guests–often a good indoor activity to try and wait out the afternoon storms in Central Florida.
Inside, there’s also plenty of space to relax and check out some Rebel, Republic, and First Order artifacts.
The lines for Vadar may seem long, but the wait went by fast. It also helps that there’s some nice AC to ward off the sweltering summer heat!
The lines for Chewie look a bit different, but equally exciting!
Cast members at Launch Bay seemed excited about reopening! They seemed to be eagerly awaiting the moment they could open the doors and welcome travelers from the Galaxy.
Chewbacca said “AAAHHHH GGGGGRRRRR” which roughly translates to him being excited for Launch Bay Reopening.
Once the doors opened, everyone was excited to see Darth Vader. We’ll share a video of our encounter with Darth below.
Vader did not seem pleased to see us. He said he assums our presence here is not coincidence, but neither is his! Seems like he has some dasterdly plans cooking up over at the Launch Bay reopening…
