BREAKING NEWS: Car Locator Coming To My Disney Experience App
We’ve all been there. You drive to a Walt Disney World theme park early in the am, spend an entire day enjoying all Disney has to offer right down to the fireworks and then leave the park at closing. You walk through the endless sea of parked cars and realize, with feet aching, that you have no idea where you parked!
It was only a matter of time before Disney came up with a My Disney Experience focused solution and we can officially report that, with a little help from sponsor State Farm, that day has arrived.
A new Car Locator feature is coming to both the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps. The feature will launch the summer at Walt Disney World and later in the year for Disneyland.
This new complimentary feature will us location technology to find and save your parking details. How awesome is that!? However, you will need to enable location services, Bluetooth and notifications to make the most of the new tool on your mobile device.
Car Locator will be available for all four Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs, Disney Water Parks and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. All you’ll need to do is simply open your My Disney Experience app and tap the car locator on your home screen. You can also access Car Locator using the feature menu for access.
You’ll be asked to enter your parking information and if you enable location permissions, the service will be able to find your car for you. When you’re ready to return to your car after at day at the parks you’ll once again return to car locator to access your parking information.
Not only will the new service help you find your car but it connects seamlessly to the My Disney Experience app where you can access a whole host of awesome info to maximize your time at the parks. This includes everything from merchandise checkout and mobile food ordering to direct-to-room service at Disney’s resort hotels. You can also access MagicMobile which is a contactless way to enter the theme parks, access your Disney PhotoPass photos and more!
