Video: Disney Wish Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom
Here’s your chance to get a first look at a deluxe family oceanview stateroom with verandah aboard the Disney Wish with a video tour!
Disney Cruise Line has officially christened their newest ship, the Disney Wish.
Our MickeyTravels and MickeyBlog founders Greg and Elyssa are sailing on the inaugural voyage of the Disney Wish.
Deluxe accommodations
Yesterday we shared pictures from Greg and Elyssa’s suite.
We even shared our excitement about all the goodies left in their suite.
Today we’re sharing a first look of a video tour of the deluxe family oceanview stateroom with verandah.
But first, what are the different types of stateroom?
Stateroom options on the Wish
There are four main categories of stateroom:
- Inside stateroom
- Oceanview stateroom
- Verandah stateroom
- Concierge stateroom
There are also wheelchair-accessible staterooms and staterooms equipped with communications features.
Inside stateroom
The standard inside stateroom on the Disney Wish is more spacious than what you’d find on most other cruise ships.
Each inside stateroom will have the Disney storytelling touch throughout.
In addition, each inside stateroom comes equipped with a TV, desk and a sofa in the sitting area.
There’s a heavy privacy curtain to separate the sleeping area and sitting area.
Inside staterooms on the Wish sleep three to four, with a queen bed, a single sleeper sofa and an upper-berth pull down bed if sleeping four.
Oceanview stateroom
There are two main types of oceanview stateroom – deluxe oceanview stateroom and deluxe family oceanview stateroom.
Each stateroom has a large porthole to catch those breathtaking ocean views.
The deluxe oceanview stateroom sleeps three to four guests.
Deluxe family oceanview staterooms boast more space and accommodate four to five guests.
Verandah stateroom
Like the oceanview staterooms, the verandah staterooms come in two types – deluxe and deluxe family.
All verandah staterooms are oceanview staterooms.
The main selling point of the verandah stateroom is the exterior access. You have a private balcony to enjoy your voyage.
Instead of a porthole, you have sliding doors to bring in more light to your room.
Each verandah comes with patio furniture and privacy partitions from your neighbors.
But if you’re traveling in a group those partitions can be unlocked for a larger balcony.
Concierge stateroom
The concierge staterooms include the most luxurious suites – the one-story tower suite, the Wish tower suite and the two-story royal suite. We’ll be covering those in other articles.
Some family oceanview staterooms and family oceanview staterooms with verandah are on the concierge level.
All concierge suites come with amenities not offered to other Wish guests, including:
- Down duvets
- Choice of pillow type
- Personal robe and slippers
- Free Wi-Fi
Concierge guests also get personalized concierge services, including priority check in and a dedicated concierge agent to help with reservations and more.
