FIRST LOOK: Disney Wish Captures Beauty at The Rose
Situated beautifully between the bold new vision of Disney Cruise Line’s fine dining establishment, Palo, and its new ultra-exclusive dining offering, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, The Rose offers a tranquil lounge space for adults to enjoy each evening on the Disney Wish.
Today, MickeyBloggers Elyssa and Greg journeyed to Deck 12 to check out all the details of this beautiful new space.
With an aesthetic emphasis on the 1991 animated classic, “Beauty and the Beast,” The Rose offers a perfect compliment to the theming of its surrounding restaurants, especially Enchanté and its nods to the perfect host, Lumiere.
Upon arrival, The Rose greets guests with its namesake: The Beast’s enchanted rose as well as his intricate golden magical mirror.
Known for their attention to detail, Disney designers responsible for The Rose took great care in bringing so many facets of the time-honored story to life. We especially loved the use of the story’s pages for the creation of the rose’s stem and carefully etched out leaves.
The rose’s literary leaves wind their way around a small stack of books in a nod to Belle’s love of literature. Much like the film versions, the rose itself glitters from quite far away, noting its enchanted qualities.
The Rose Blossoms with Golden Details
The lounge itself plays with a variety of jewel tones, including a dark magenta shade as well as a muted teal. The colors blend beautifully thanks to varying shades of grays and cremes in the fabrics and flooring.
A wealth of gold accents emphasize the grandeur of the lounge, especially in the mirrors that dot one wall of the room and the elaborate metal work in the ceiling. Expansive windows allow many to take in the beautiful sea views from the ship’s port side.
Located near the boat’s stern, The Rose promised to be a popular locale for grown-ups on board the Disney Wish, whether they hold dining reservations at the two fine dining options nearby or not.
