Aulani Celebrates Stitch on #626 Day
Today is #626 Day which is a celebration of Disney’s beloved little blue alien and Lilo’s bestie…Stitch. For many of us Stitch is synonymous with the setting of the film Lilo & Stitch which is Hawaii. That’s why it seems only fitting that we head over to Aulani in Hawaii to see how Disney is celebrating.
Stitch wanted to offer a gift to mark the occasion. With that in mind, he gathered up his Aulani Resort friends to perform the Aulani Hula. This very special dance brings people together in celebration of aloha, peace and goodwill. Composed by Aaron J. Sala, a Native Hawaiian singer, songwriter and professor. The hula is choreographed by Kumu Hula Kaleo Trinidad. The piece reflects the warm welcome that guests receive as they enter Aulani Resort.
