Lang Lang Releases Album Titled ‘The Disney Book’
Lang Lang releases a new album this year for Disney’s 100th anniversary. “The Disney Book” will be available on September 16, 2022, via Deutsche Grammophon.

A Century of Disney Music
Disney music moves many of us, whether we are Disney fans or not. We hear engrained music throughout stories, commercials, videos, and our memories.
“The Disney Book” traces Disney music history, especially music from Disney films. This rich history spans from the 1920s until today.

Lang Lang’s Journey
However, the album also reflects Lang Lang’s personal journey. He says, “Animation sparked my imagination and transported me to other worlds. The music was a big part of this experience – and led to my life-long love of classical music.”
Lang Lang continues by stating, “There is such a variety of styles in Disney songs; truly, something to inspire everyone. I hope that people of all ages will enjoy this recording and experience the joy that we all felt the first time we saw a Disney film.”
The First Single
The album’s first single releases today, June 24, 2022. The song is “Feed the Birds” from the Disney classic Mary Poppins.
Lang Lang’s version of “Feed the Birds” also has a music video. Hence, the crew shot the video at Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California.

The music video was taped during the breaking of dawn, making it even more magical. To add a little extra pixie dust, Lang Lang is the first classical pianist to ever perform in this location. Check out the video here:

Songs from Pinocchio, Frozen, Encanto, The Jungle Book, and The Lion King are also featured in “The Disney Book.” Additionally, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Stephen Hough, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and other high-profile performers worked on the album with Lang Lang in various capacities.
