Aladdin Director Guy Ritchie Has Signed on For Live-Action ‘Hercules’
Esteemed British director Guy Ritchie, who was at the helm of Disney’s insanely popular Aladdin live-action remake, may be bringing his talents to Disney once again. However, according to a recent piece in DEADLINE, it is not, as many would expect, for a sequel to Aladdin which crossed the $1 billion mark, but rather for the live-action remake of Hercules.
Also according to DEADLINE, the film will be produced by AGBO which is the company that is run by directors Joe & Anthony Russo who were also the directors of Avengers: Endgame. We are told that writer Dave Callaham is working on the first draft for the project.
It is early days for the project so no news yet on casting and where/when filming might begin. This is a story that we will continue to follow closely. Readers are encouraged to keep checking back with us for further Walt Disney World news and updates.
