Imagineers Tested Lighting for TRON Today!
In an Instagram post earlier today, Walt Disney Imagineers tested Lighting for TRON.
As you can see above, nighttime at TRON will be beautiful, to say the least. Just yesterday, TRON construction was blocked by the infamous green shrubbery! Now we’re treated to a mini nighttime spectacular.
In their post on Insta, Imagineers explained that there are more than 1,200 light fixtures. The Show Lighting Team will likely program illuminations as “users” speed past on their Light Cycles.

Imagineers included some additional info regarding the theming that’s driving the design.
We’ve seen the canopies take shape over the last few months. These curve-wave structures are how guests will be transformed into users.

The “Upload Conduit” isn’t just a cool covering for the ride, it’s a piece of the story. We’re excited that Imagineers tested lighting for Tron and can’t wait to see the ride take shape.

Here’s what Tron at Shanghi Disney looks like, we can expect something similar, but I’m sure Disney will put a new spin on the Florida project.
As construction continues, MickeyBlog will continue to post regular updates. At time of print, no word yet from Disney on when the ride is set to open.
Keep following along for more updates for the TRON Coaster.
