Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Reopening Next Month
I have the ultimate foodie news to announce! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa’s iconic fine dining establishment will be reopening July 28, 2022.
Victoria & Albert’s has the distinction of being the recipient of the AAA Five Diamond Award since 2000 as well as Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award since 2018 making it the ONLY restaurant in the state of Florida to claim both award and one of only 26 restaurants in the country to do the same.

The restaurant is a true dining experience featuring “timeless elegance and a modern twist on American cuisine” featuring “exquisite dishes made with ingredients from across the globe.”
Once Victoria & Albert’s reopens in July, Guests will be treated to not only an enhanced menu but also reimagined dining room. The new space has been designed to give Guests they feeling they have stepped foot into a “Victorian-styled setting with murals and wall coverings that showcase a timeless elegance and subtle inspirations of a whimsical garden.”
For Guests looking for a more private dining experience, Victoria & Albert’s offers a private Queen Victoria’s Room as well as the highly sought after Chef’s Table that gives you front row seating to as the chefs perform their magic.
Victoria & Albert’s is also a wine-lovers paradise with an extensive wine menu and wine cellar that includes over 500 selections. The sommeliers on staff will be happy to suggest the perfect wine to go with your dishes.
In addition to the wine, the menu also offers zero-proof cocktails that have been carefully crafted to pair with several menu items.

The ever-evolving Chef’s Tasting Menu has been curated by Victoria & Albert’s Chef de Cuisine, Matthew Sowers. Sowers has been with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts since 2006 and with Victoria & Albert’s for over 15 years. He also worked to bring the menus to life for Remy on both Disney Cruise Line’s Dream and Fantasy.
The Pastry Chef for Victoria & Albert’s, Kristine Farmer, has an extensive resume as well. Chef Farmer was on the reopening team of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. He also is the lead pastry chef of the Resort including Citricos and Narcoossee’s as well as for Disney’s Fairytale Weddings. And my personal favorite, Chef Farmer oversees the development and production of the Gingerbread House Guests see in the lobby during the holiday season.
Executive Chef, Kevin Chong, is tasked with overseeing all of the culinary masterpieces created in Victoria & Albert’s. With the hard work of his culinary team, Chef Chong handles this task with poise and grace.
James Board Award nominee and former Culinary Director, Chef Scott Hunnel, is also on hand to provide mentorship and direction for all Chefs at the Restaurant as well as other restaurants across Walt Disney World.

Sommelier Israel Perez will also be back on staff upon Victoria & Albert’s reopening as the maître d’hotel ensuring that his staff continues to pay attention to the smallest details and make the dining experience truly unforgettable.
And just like pre-COVID times, the dress code of Victoria & Albert’s will be dress-to-impress upon the reopening with semi-formal to formal attire. The restaurant upholds this dress code to respect “the restaurant’s elegant and opulent aesthetic.”

The reimagined dining room upon Victoria & Albert’s reopening is just one of the several parts of the multi-year, grand transformation of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. In addition to the recent transformations of the Enchanted Rose and Citricos, the resort is also currently undergoing “newly enhanced and expanded accommodations at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa” which will debut over this Summer. Be prepared for even more reimagined areas of the Resort to be announced in the coming years.
