Construction Takes Over the Beaches at Disney’s Polynesian Resort
If you’re planning on visiting Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in the next few weeks, make sure you take note of some construction efforts currently underway at the hotel. Whether you have a stay booked at the tropical oasis or are just hoping to have a leisurely look around, we wouldn’t want the surprise of maintenance crews to mar your experience!
The Polynesian is such a stunning resort, that it must be hard work keeping it looking so perfect! So, each time we see construction crews hard at work, we know they are playing a vital part in keeping that magic alive for guests.
This week, we can see the work is being done in a few places along the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon. The main beach area and the luau area are both significantly impacted, as you can see from these photos.
This isn’t to say that guests can’t still enjoy the surrounding beachy areas, and take in those stunning views of the Magic Kingdom and surrounding resorts. Like the sweet sign on the construction wall says, we just have to “pardon the pixie dust!”
Another part of the resort that is impacted is the walkway which guests can use to visit Disney’s Grand Floridian. We can see the fenced-off area along the beach, preventing guests from passing.
So, if you’re planning a resort-hopping adventure any time soon, we’d suggest you use the Monorail or another form of Disney transportation to get you between these two!
Although we can’t say for sure what the construction walls are masking, there is a lot of change happening across the Polynesian at the moment.
Earlier in the year, it was announced that the “Disney’s Spirit of Aloha” dinner show would not be returning. In hotel news, it was also shared that a large-scale new villa project for Disney Vacation Club would also be breaking ground at the resort.
Despite the construction and change, we can still assure you that the Polynesian is one of the most stunning resorts at Walt Disney World. How gorgeous is this photo, taken by MickeyBlog reporter Jared? Our eyes are drawn to the beauty of the Poly’s architecture, the adorable wedding pavilion over at the Grand Floridian, and the passing Monorail, before we even notice those metal walls!
Anyway, we’ll leave these construction workers to get back to whatever it is they are busy working on, and enjoy the rest of our day in the paradise that is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. As always, make sure you stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com for all the latest updates on construction, updates, and more!
