Disney Reveals Upcoming Highlights for This Year’s D23 Expo
We’ve got some exciting news for Disney fans! The D23 Expo presented by Visa will be making a return this September in Anaheim, California and Disney is sharing a sneak peek of some of the events planned for this exciting weekend.
All presentations will take place at the “Hall D23” a 6,900 seat venue in the Anaheim Convention Center. Now let’s take a closer look at the awesome details.
Friday, September 9
Disney Legends Awards Ceremony- The event kicks off at 10:30 am with this epic presentation featuring Disney CEO Bob Chapek. Disney Legends honors visionaries and artists who have made significant contributions to Disney. 2022 inductees will be announced in the coming weeks.
Disney Live Action, Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios – At 3:30pm, guests will be treated to updates, new details, first looks, surprises and more from Disney+ and upcoming theatrical releases. Those involved will include Studio heads, filmmakers, cast members and more. This is a great time to get the inside scoop on some of the studios’ most exciting titles.

Saturday, September 10
Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm – The day kicks off at 10 am in the Hall D23 where filmmakers, celebrity talent and surprising guests will take to the stage to showcase upcoming theatrical and Disney+ titles. Guests will also have the opportunity to go behind the scenes of these studios highly anticipated films, specials and series and see exclusive footage of new projects that are in the works.
Disney Branded Television – Starting at 3:30pm, you’ll learn about the iconic stories and characters in the Disney canon. This includes projects like Doc McStuffins, The Owl House, Hight School Musical, Descendants and more! Guests will be treated to an exclusive showcase of upcoming content, talent appearances and never-before-seen sneak previews of upcoming Disney+, Disney Channel and Disney Junior programming. This year, we expect Disney to reveal exciting details on key projects including National Treasure, American Born Chinese and The Santa Claus!

Disney Parks Experiences and Productions – Sunday kicks off with an event that theme park enthusiasts won’t want to miss! Chairman Josh D’Amaro will be on hand to talk about Disney’s boundless future including announcements and updates on magic happening at Disney parks around the globe. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the big dreams of Disney Imagineers.
Disney Princess – The Concert– At 4:15pm, Disney concerts will present a special performance featuring Tony nominee Susa Egan (Beauty and the Beast,) Isabella McCalla (Princess Jasmine in Aladdin) Disney Channel star Annelies van der Pol (That’s So Raven and Beauty and the Beast on Broadway,) Syndee Williams (Nala in The Lion King on Broadway) music director Benjamin Rauhala (Fiddler on the Roof, The Secret Life of Bees) and Prince Adam J. Levy (Moulin Rouge) will also join the quartet. The acclaimed cast will perform favorite Disney Princess and Frozen songs, including classics such as “Part of Your World,” “Let It Go,” “A Whole New World,” “Colors of the Wind,” and “Almost There.” The performers will share exclusive, hilarious, and heartfelt behind-the-scenes stories from their time on the stage and screen.
How to attend D23 Expo
A limited number of single-day tickets are available for Friday and Saturday of the Expo. The cost is $99 for one-day adult admission and $79 for children (ages 3-12.) D23 Fan Club Gold Members can get tickets for $89 for a one-day adults admission.
It should be noted that Single-day Saturday tickets and 3-day passes are sold out.
