Bride and Groom Choose Mickey and Minnie Over Feeding Wedding Guests
When it comes to your dream wedding, what is more important to you: A cameo by Mickey and Minne or feeding your Guests? For one couple, they went with Mickey and Minnie and people everywhere are upset!
A now deleted post on a section of Reddit called “Am I the A**hole” went viral after a user posted about their dream Disney Fairy Tale Wedding. The user stated that while they had their dream wedding, some Guests of the wedding were posting on Facebook that the wedding was a disappointment because the couple decided not to feed their Guests but instead used that budget to have an appearance by Mickey and Minnie.

The bride originally posted, “My fiancee and I just got married two months ago and we had our dream wedding. The issue was with our decision to not offer catering services at our wedding due to routing the money towards having a wedding Minnie and Mickey make appearances at our special day.”
Their budget for the wedding food was $5500 but it just so happened that an appearance by Mickey and Minnie for 30 minutes is $2750. They also decided to have two appearances by the famous couple on two separate days. One of those appearances was during a lunch just for the wedding couple the day before the actual wedding for photos.
Reddit users were appalled on upon reading this post and agreed that the bride and groom were indeed the “A**hole.”

One user stated, “This is so weird. Why even invited Guests? The fake characters in costume were obviously more important than anyone invited.”
Another user posted, “I would have Venmo requested for my flight and hotel expense.”

In response to the comments, the bride in her defense posted, “You have to understand this it was DISNEY OFFICIAL wedding Minnie and Mickey. It’s a two year waiting list just to see the DATES AVAILABLE.”
The bride also defended her decision by posting, “PLENTY of facilities at the venue where people could eat.” She went on to add there was also a vending machine available to wedding Guests.
