Royal Gatherings Returning to Disney Cruise Line
I am excited to announce that Royal Gatherings, previously known as Princess Gatherings, are returning to Disney Cruise Line!
Per Disney Cruise Line, Guests are now able to book their reservations for the Royal Gatherings 30 days prior to their sail date and for bookings that sail mid-July and beyond. For Guests cruising in a concierge stateroom, the booking window will open between 30 to 45 days prior to your departure.

Royal or Princess Gatherings invite Guests to spend one on one time with their favorite Disney Princesses. While the Princesses on hand at the Gathering will vary, past appearances have included:
- Belle from Beauty and the Beast
- Aurora from Sleeping Beauty
- Rapunzel from Tangled
- Tiana from Princess and the Frog
- Ariel from The Little Mermaid
- Cinderella
- Snow White

Since Disney Cruise Line started sailing again last Summer, character meet and greets were modified with physical distancing measures in place. All Guests were required to stand at least six feet away from the character while taking photos and having a quick chat. With today’s new that Royal Gatherings returning, it seems like traditional meet and greets with hugs will be back on cruises as of this July as well.

If you are looking to book your reservation for the Royal Gathering on your next Disney Cruise Line vacation, your reservation must be paid in full. In addition, with the 30-day window rule, everyone (with the exception of concierge Guests) will be able to book their reservation at the same time. You will want to make sure you are ready to book your reservation at 12:01 am on the day of your 30-day window opening.

I hope that traditional meet and greets with hugs will be back on cruises as of this July because I going on Disney magic British isles cruise in September 11th to September 18th 2022 and to hug the sessional six(Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, goofy, Donald and daisy) max goof, chip and dale and the Disney Princess.
