These Are the Awesome Characters You’ll Meet on Galactic Starcruiser
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has finally opened to the public.
For two months now, it has thrilled guests with its unprecedented immersive experience.
During this time, we’ve learned a lot about who lives aboard the Halycon…and also who visits occasionally.
Let’s meet the characters of Galactic Starcruiser. You’ll rely on them to live out your own Star Wars adventure!
Captain Riyola Keevan
Every ship needs a noble captain who can assure everyone’s safety.
On the Hyperion, Rivola Keevan ensures that the trains run on time, so to speak.
The lore suggests that Keevan has spent most of her life working and living on this ship. As such, she’s willing to fight for it if/when things go south.
Don’t be surprised if the captain comes under fire during your luxury cruise. And you can expect her to perform admirably in the face of danger!
Cruise Director
I’m old enough to remember The Love Boat, at least a little bit. As such, when I hear about cruise directors, I picture them setting up lonely singles.
Alas, Lenka Mok’s job isn’t that simple. Yes, the director’s in charge of onboard entertainment.
However, the Halcyon comes with an infuriating tendency to get invaded by the First Order.
So, the job duties vacillate wildly between suggesting a concert viewing and screaming at you to run for your life.
Through everything, Lenka Mok demonstrates remarkable poise. You can trust her with your life!
D3-09
You should think of this droid as your ship’s Alexa. Whenever you seek information about the ship’s happenings, you’ll speak with D3-09.
The main communications will occur in your room, as D3-09 appears on your video menu.
However, you should also realize that D3-09 possesses information about the Star Wars universe as a whole. So, when you don’t know something, just ask!
First Order Lieutenant Harman Croy
Boo this man! Yes, I regret to inform you that members of The First Order appear on the Halcyon.
You’re flying through First Order space. So, these folks are unavoidable.
Sometimes, their members are traveling with Storm Troopers. On other occasions, they bring in the bigger guns instead.
The odd part of your interactions with The First Order is that they’re sometimes rather likable.
Harman’s a smart individual who has deduced that the Halcyon is running some stealth missions for The Resistance.
As far as First Order members go, he’s dangerously smart and ambitious and perfectly willing to interrogate you.
On the off chance you’re one of those sickos who prefers The Dark Side, you may deal with Harman Croy a lot. But you’re also going to The Bad Place. FYI.
Gaya
Imagine an intergalactic Madonna and you get the gist here.
Gaya’s the most famous musician in the galaxy. She thought she’d take time out from her busy schedule to go on a luxury cruise.
While there, she might as well perform. So, she’ll sing at a phenomenal concert at Crown of Corellia Dining Room.
Even if you have to pay extra to watch this show, it’s totally worth the money!
By the way, you should interact with Gaya if you can come close enough. She may let slip the actual reason she’s on the ship.
If she’s not in the mood for talking, her cosmic DJ, Ouannii, may prove more approachable. She’s a bit more challenging to understand, though.
Raithe Kole
If you don’t speak Huttese and cannot get close to Gaya, you should try her manager, Raithe Kole.
Out of everyone on board the ship, Raithe’s the one who is least tied down by ethics. He’s a music manager after all.
You don’t make it big in the record industry unless you’re willing to ignore a few laws here and there.
In fact, you never know when you may run into Raithe. He’s seemingly got his hands in everything happening on the ship.
You should make sure to talk to him, though. He’s quite charming, and he can make things happen since he’s an accomplished deal broker.
Sammie
Sammie, umm, he’s not any good at his job. It’s probably because the ship’s mechanic doesn’t have any official training.
He’s more of a stowaway who charmed his way into a job that he’s woefully underqualified to perform. That’s okay, though!
Sammie isn’t afraid to ask for help! Sure, you didn’t sign up for a luxury cruise in anticipation of performing menial tasks.
You should keep Sammie happy, though. He speaks Wookiee, and you never know when that might come in handy.
Sandro Alimander
I have a friend who cannot go five seconds without mentioning Lady Gaga. It’s…wildly unhealthy.
I’m mentioning this because if my friend were an obscure Star Wars character on the Halcyon, he would be Sandro Alimander.
The difference is that we’d have to scratch out Lady Gaga and write in Gaya, the Lady Gaga of a galaxy far, far away.
Sandro is a struggling but aspiring musician who knows that Gaya is visiting the Halcyon…and it’s pretty much all he wants to talk about.
You might not want to make eye contact with Sandro. Then again, if you are friendly to this obsessive fan, he may ask you to sing a song with him.
In fact, he may prove a vital ally when things go south. Still, you should remember that if Sandro’s choices are saving you or Gaya, you’re as good as dead.
The Saja
These folks aren’t Jedi per se. However, they must have known a lot of Jedi in a previous life or something.
How else can we explain the fact that they can tutor you so well that you’ll master a Lightsaber in a matter of hours?
I’m joking here, but there’s actually a canon explanation for this that Star Wars superfans know.
The Saja can sense The Force in others and help you self-actualize your abilities.
Quite randomly, everyone who rides on the Halcyon also can use The Force! Go you!
SK-620
You didn’t think you’d stay on a starcruise and not encounter an adorable droid, did you?
I mean, the holy trilogy had R2-D2 and then the latest trilogy had BB-8. Droids sell Star Wars to children, and they’re also a delight as conversationalists.
You’ll want to interact with SK-620 as much as possible during your trip! The droid may even reveal some shocking secrets to you…
