New Star Wars Projects Not So Far Away
Star Wars fans, celebrate! Lots of new Star Wars projects are on the way!
At this week’s Star Wars Celebration convention in Anaheim, several new Star Wars projects were announced.
The Mandalorian
First, let’s get excited about the return of The Mandalorian.
Mando, Grogu and the rest of our favorites return in February of 2023 with eight new episodes.
Young Jedi Adventures
Set during The High Republic era, the Original Series follows Younglings as they study the ways of the Force and become Jedi: Compassion, self-discipline, teamwork, patience, and friendship. Young Jedi Adventures is coming to Disney+ and Disney Junior spring 2023. pic.twitter.com/EbcmI98ecv

Young Jedi Adventures is set to come to Disney+ and Disney Junior next spring.
This original series will follow younglings as they learn to become Jedi.
Light & Magic documentary series
Coming to Disney+ later this year is a new six-part documentary series from Industrial Light & Magic.
Called Light & Magic, this series will showcase the special visual effects, animation and virtual production division of Lucasfilm.
Andor
I’m so excited for Andor, starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor.
This series is a prequel to Rogue One. We’ll see Andor on Disney+ beginning August 31.
The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved.
Check out the Andor trailer:
Ahsoka
We don’t know much, but we know this: there will be an Ahsoka series in the next year.
This is a live-action series starring Rosario Dawson.
We first met Ahsoka in The Clone Wars, and we love seeing her in The Mandalorian.
Rangers of the New Republic
Here’s another series, this one follows the adventures of a group of X-wing pilots.
We don’t know much yet, but we understand the series takes place at the same time as The Mandalorian.
Lando
Another of the new Star Wars projects is Lando.
You guessed it, this one is a series about our favorite hustler, Lando Calrissian.
Details like who will star, when it will debut … what it will be about – all are to come.
The Acolyte
According to The Week, this new Star Wars project will take place 100 years before the Star Wars prequels.
Amandla Stenberg is attached to the project to star in the series coming next year.
Untitled Taika Waititi Star Wars Film
Taika Waititi, who has directed the new Thor movie, is set to direct a new Star Wars film project.
No details have been released, but according to IMDB the film comes out in 2025.
Skeleton Crew
A new Star Wars project is in pre-production, starring Jude Law.
This is a series about a group of ten-year-olds who get lost in the Star Wars Universe.
Look for Skeleton Crew in 2023.
Obi Wan Kenobi
Have you watched the new series, Obi Wan Kenobi on Disney+ yet?
The first two episodes have dropped, and I love this series!
