Drink in Cosmic Style with New “Guardians” Bottles, Cups
It’s a big, dare I say, out-of-this-world day at EPCOT as the unique theme park opens its first thrill ride, “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.” The merchandise dropped this morning at Creations Shop even before the attraction welcomed guests, including this cool-hued water bottle and cup.
Using the other-worldly shades that define much of the guest experience in the Galaxarium, an Imagineering take on a planetarium that immerses guests in a swirling display of planets, stars and other features of Xandar. (The imagery also tosses in some solid nods to symbols used in the popular Marvel films).
The water bottle plays with more than just shades of blues and greens. it also features the logo for the Guardians of the Galaxy as well as pops of purple and cosmic yellow.
The textures on the bottom give the bottle a planetary feel while the smooth design at the top legit shines. The $27.99 water bottle offers one of the more futuristic items released in honor of the attraction too.
Groot Gives Warning on Water Cup
On a second design, the beloved Groot warns drinkers, “Warning Maximum Fifty Jump Points,” a must-know point prior to riding the new coaster. Billed as the longest indoor roller coaster track that Walt Disney Imagineering ever designed (and the first to use a reverse launch), “Guardians of the Galaxy” really sets a new bar for thrill rides at stateside Disney parks.
Of all the details, it’s the cups design that really lets this option stand out as it appears it too suffered a bit from all the jumps. At a few points, the cups perimeter shifts, leaving it feel like it too just survived a mission to save the galaxy.
At $14.99, guests may even want to make a set of these to celebrate their adventure with Groot and the “Guardians” gang.
