VIDEO: Disney Debuts Trailer for New Disney+ Series Willow
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that Star Wars Celebration has officially kicked off in Anaheim. But it’s not all Star Wars news! During a panel event attendees were treated to a first look at a brand new trailer for upcoming series Willow.
The series will be a continuation of the beloved 1988 fantasy movie from Lucasfilm starring Warwick Davis. Check it out below:
In the trailer you’ll see that Davis is back in the title roll of a sorcerer though as Gizmodo points out, the wizard is now older and appears to be a bit of a recluse. The series introduces guests to a new group of adventurers who go to Willow for help in bringing balance to the world. At the head of group of characters is Princess Kit (Ruby Cruz) who is on a mission to rescue her twin brother. Joining her is Erin Kellyman (Solo) and Amar Chadha-Patel also start as her cohorts. Rounding out the cast is Ellie Bamber as a kitchen maid, Tony Revolori and Dempsey Bryk.
Davis offered this behind-the-scenes set visit with the cast last year, producing a wildly charming and delightful little featurette ahead of the show’s release. At the time of this featurette, it was not known whether or not Davis would return to the world of Willow. Last year, guests were treated to some behind the scenes footage of the cast and crew behind the scenes. You can check that out below.
