Minnie Vans Spotted on the Roads of Walt Disney World Once Again
Earlier this year, Disney confirmed Minnie Vans would be returning to Walt Disney World.
Today, after more than two years, we are more than excited to share that we spotted one driving on the roads of Walt Disney World once again!
We spotted the Minnie Van on Walt Disney World property near Disney Springs on West Buena Vista Drive.
We are unsure of where it was heading but hopefully just doing some training before they are up and running with Guests once again.
Minnie Van service was suspended by Walt Disney World back in March 2020 when it shut down for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since then, the Vans were parked in the EPCOT parking lot but this is the first time we have seen one out on the roads of Walt Disney World. It is definitely a welcome site!
If you are not familiar, Minnie Vans were introduced to Walt Disney World back as an alternative to other ride share services such as Lyft and Uber.
While you do request one through the Lyft app, they are driven by Cast Members who have tons of knowledge about Walt Disney World. It’s almost like your own, personal, mini-tour while you are getting from point A to point B around the Resort!

One of my favorite experience of using Minnie Vans was when I was with my family (including two young children) on Christmas Eve 2019. We were leaving EPCOT at closing to go back to our Resort and the bus lines were on the longer side.
Instead of waiting for the bus, we requested a Minnie Van and it showed up within minutes! All Minnie Vans include two car seats as well so we were all safe and getting back to the Resort before Santa Clause’s arrival.
While Disney confirmed the return of Minnie Van service to Walt Disney World earlier this year, an exact date of the return has not been announced.
However, seeing one on the roads again today gives me hope that Guests will be riding around the Resort in style in the very near future.
