Star Wars wouldn’t be George Lucas’ only successful franchise, as he would also create the Indiana Jones series writing the stories for the films. Lucas would eventually sell his production company Lucasfilms to Disney in 2012, but his legacy would carry on through his creations.
Led by Luke Skywalker himself, actor Mark Hamill, the Star Wars faithful poured out their birthday wishes to the father of Star Wars, wishing him well and thanking the living legend. Hamill himself spoke of Lucas as a ‘visionary’ and ‘genius’ that changed the world.
