SiriusXM Celebrates May the 4th
If you’ve paid any attention to the interwebs today, you’re plenty aware that it’s unofficial “Star Wars Day“! SiriusXM joined into the May the 4th celebrations today, playing a different Star Wars song each hour on the DisneyHits station!

The broadcasting giant tweeted around noon that they are celebrating today so this blogger dug in to the day’s playlist to see what’s up!
So far the DisneyHits station has played the following:

“Star Wars (main title) and A Galaxy Divided”, a compilation featured in the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars,

“The Imperial Suite”, from Rogue One,

Most of these classic Star Wars pieces were written by legendary composer John Williams exclusively for the Star Wars movies.

SiriusXM has interspersed today’s celebratory tracks with other Disney music, so don’t tune in expecting to hear the Imperial March on the hour, but these are a fun nod to the mega-franchise amidst some Bruno and Elsa numbers.

The DisneyHits station launched on SiriusXM in early 2021, replacing Radio Disney, which ended an impressive 25-year run.
