14-Year-Old Boy Fighting Brain Cancer Meets Chewbacca
In honor of May the 4th, we want to show you a very bittersweet video of a 14-year-old boy named AJ who is battling cancer for the 3rd time.
AJ is battling Medulloblastoma, the most common type of cancerous brain tumor in children, for the 3rd time. He just relapsed last month. Before he has to undergo chemo treatment again, his family thought it would be a good time to take a trip to Disneyland. AJ is a big Star Wars fan and his wish was to meet Chewbacca, his favorite character. Get your tissues ready.

AJ’s mom said in the Instagram post:
AJ had a private meet and greet with Chewbacca and R2-D2. If you know AJ, you know he is a huge Star Wars fan since he was a little boy. This was a moment we will never forget. Whoever was in that Chewbacca costume was absolutely amazing! He was so good with AJ. We could all feel the love and empathy he showed that day. I wish I could personally thank them and tell them what this moment has meant to us.
She goes on to say:
Can’t thank everyone enough who made this moment happen and brought some much needed Disney magic into our life. I’m glad I was able to capture this moment that we will forever cherish. Disneyland has always been our favorite go to happy place. Since AJ was a baby, he and I have spent countless hours together at the park. I was completely sobbing during this moment.
This is the magic of Disney.
AJ’s family has set up a GoFundMe account for his fight against childhood cancer.
