Cosmic Rewind Gets Ready for Media Event
With less than a month to go until Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewinds reopens at EPCOT, the marketing blitz is about to begin.
As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog, the Pavilion housing the attraction is now complete and lighting in place.
As a matter of fact, the attraction has already started its soft opening. Cast Members have already had the opportunity to climb onboard this new indoor coaster.
We popped by the pavilion yesterday and noticed that lighting rigs and a stage have now been set up in the area.
No word yet on what this is in place for but it could be a TV show appearance, marketing material or the recording of opening/ribbon cutting in advance of May 27th.
Who knows, we may even see some of our favorite Guardians take to the stage as we did when the Avengers Campus officially opened at Disney California Adventure.
The Nova Corps Starblaster takes center stage at Cosmic Rewind.
This life-sized replica now features stunning nighttime lighting where each of the points of this incredible craft comes to life.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will officially open to guests on May 27, 2022.
We’ll be dropping by the theme parks throughout the week ahead and promise to let you know if we find out more about the filming.
It’s certainly going to be something grand with this awesome set-up.
As you can see, the light rigging surrounds the entire starblaster.
The area was a bustle of activity during our visit with crews and cast members scurrying around the pavilion.
You can also see that makeshift construction walls have been put up around some of the equipment.
Even these were given a space-aged look.
