We’ve got a feel good moment for your Friday afternoon. When a TikToker known as Ariel C. showed up for a Dapper Day event dress as Peggy Carter, the object of Captain America’s affection, something unexpected happened.
At the Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, the cosplayer recorded the Captain America’s reaction at seeing her as Carter for the first time and if this doesn’t sweep you off of your feet I don’t know what will!

As you can see from the video above, Ariel C. wrote the caption – “I’m still shook” and we would be too! That’s quite the encounter. The video is creating quite a buzz amongst Disney and Marvel fans and has over 800,000 views as of today (Friday April 29, 2022.)

Ariel C. was dressed the part for one of Disneyland’s unofficial Dapper Day events. This is a chance for Disney fans of all ages to don vintage attire and celebrate the Disney of days gone by. For those unfamiliar Dr. Peggy Carter is one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D. She later joined the SSR which was formed to fight HYDRA. It was during an SSR project that she befriended Steve Rogers. After Roger’s transformation, Carter assisted him in becoming the world’s first superhero eventually falling in love with him.
In addition as an agent of the SSR, Carter helped former colleague Howard Stark clear his name when he was accused of being a traitor. Carter eventually married a soldier and had two children. She continued her service in S.H.I.E.L.D during the Cold War rising to the position of director by 1970. If you’ve been following along with the Marvel films you may remember that during Carter’s retirement, Rogers was pulled from the ice and discovered to be alive. It was at this point that she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease which made for an emotion reunion with Captain America.
It was a love story for the ages and one we were delighted to see play out on TikTok.
