Full-Throttle Testing for TRON Lightcycle Underway at the Magic Kingdom
TRON Lightcycle coming to the Magic Kingdom just hit a major milestone in the construction process this afternoon! The full trains for the much-anticipated coaster were on the tracks and testing at full speed!
Twitter user @DrewDisneyDude was lucky enough to be on the PeopleMover today in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom while testing of the TRON Lightcycle was underway and shared the following footage:

While this is not the first time we have witnessed testing being done on TRON Lightcycle, today’s testing is the first time the full trains have been in use and the trains were seen going at full speed. Previously, the testing that was being completed was just a “push-pull” test on individual ride vehicles.
TRON Lightcycle – one of the most anticipated attractions to come to the Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World in recent years – is based off the cult-favorite TRON movies. A similar attraction is also located at Shanghai Disneyland in China.

We are still waiting for an official opening date for TRON Lightcycle at Walt Disney World. Hopefully since testing is currently underway and seeing construction progressing at a more rapid rate recently, we will know a timeframe in the near future.
