BREAKING: Comedian and Beloved Disney Voice Actor Gilbert Gottfried Has Passed Away at the Age of 67
It is with a heavy heart that we here at MickeyBlog share the news that renowned comedian and Disney voice actor Gilbert Gottfried has passed away at the age of 67. Gottfried’s family took to social media this afternoon to share the news in a statement simply saying that his passing came at the end of a long illness.

The statement reads, “In addition to being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two young children.” The statement concludes, “Although today is a sad day for all of us, please keep laughing as loud as possible in Gilbert’s honor.”
In Disney circles, Gottfried is best known as the voice of Iago the parrot in Disney’s 1992 animated film Aladdin. He appeared in numerous Disney projects over the years including Hanna Montana, Muppets Tonight and voiced the role of Mike McNasty in Adventures in Wonderland. Other Disney credits include Bonkers, Timon & Pumbaa, Hercules (TV Series), The Replacements and Beverly Hills Family Robinson.
In addition to his work with Disney, Gottfried was well known for his voice roles in Cyberchase, as the Aflac Duck Mascot , Problem Child, A Million Ways to Die in the West, Beverly Hills Cop II, Thumbelina, Look Who’s Talking Too and Dr. Dolittle. He also appeared in CSI, Anger Management and more!
The comedian, who was a close pal of Bob Saget (who also passed away earlier this year) is survived by his wife Dara Kravitz as well as two children Lily and Max.
